The United Nations Association of the United States of America
Stands with Women’s Rights
In celebration of Women’s History Month, the United Nations Association of the United States of America partnered with groups, including UNCF and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, to promote women’s achievements.
The UNA-USA provided links to empowering women and their contact information. Morgyn Wood, a journalist for the Black Information Network, and Joy Reid, a former MSNBC host, were amongst the many featured women.
The UNA-USA covers a range of topics and despite allocating resources to each, it puts 100% effort into supporting women and taking a stand for basic rights.
UNA-USA’s goal is to inspire women through art, education and philanthropy. Global Goals Ambassadors Rachel Svetanoff and Virgil Parker promoted the initiative.
The full list of featured women includes Joy Reid, Pinky Cole, Janai Nelson, U.S. Ambassador Suzan Johnson Cook, Morgyn Wood, Athena Jones, Rev. Shavon Arline-Bradley, Ashanti F. Gholar, Lady Lee Thompson, Desiree Boykin, Cheriss May, and Michelle Bailey.
